This short programme is designed for learners who have little computer literacy. Learners will be taught basic computer concepts and skills. You will receive an introduction to the hardware components of a PC. You will also learn Windows XP techniques and become acquainted with the basics of the Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel applications.
Upon completion of this programme, learners will have a good foundation in computer components and their functions, as well as practical computer skills for working in the Microsoft environment.

This programme will introduce the learner to the powerful features of an electronic office. It is designed for learners with some knowledge of computers who wish to gain further practical skills in the most popular Microsoft Office software packages: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
The Damelin programme in Fundamentals of Microsoft Office is designed for learners already working in a Windows environment or those who have completed the Damelin programme in Computer Skills for Windows & Office and want to acquire additional PC skills.

International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL)
Start date: 7 July 2012
This internationally recognised programme will give learners the practical skills and knowledge to use the PC, the Windows XP operating system and the powerful features of an electronic office. It is designed for learners with some knowledge of computers who wish to learn how to use the most important features of the popular Microsoft Office software packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and Internet Explorer.
On successful completion of the programme, the learner will receive the International Computer Driving License qualification from the ICDL Foundation in SA. The standards for the ICDL have been set jointly by the major European Computer Societies. The qualification is recognised in 135 countries worldwide.

Pastel accounting

This course is intended for bookkeepers and others with knowledge of accounting concepts who want to learn to adapt their skills to Pastel.
The programme will enhance the learner’s skills and productivity in the accounting environment by enabling the learner to use the Pastel Partner accounting package. Learners will cover specific accounting concepts and procedures that are unique to Pastel.
Learners are prepared to write the Softline Pastel external examination for Pastel Partner Intermediate.
