What if I am unsure as to what programme to study?
Our consultants are trained to answer your questions about our programmes. They have a lot of experience in assisting working people as well as job-seekers.
Damelin West Rand offers all prospective learners guidance and advice. If you are unsure about what field to enter, we suggest you complete a CPTI (Career Personality Type Indicator). The CPTI assists in identifying which field of study is most suited to the prospective learner’s personality type.
CPTIs are offered free of charge to all school pupils and those interested in studying full-time. There is a R300 fee for prospective part-time learners but this is credited to your account on enrolment.
Will I receive facilitation in my home language?
Damelin classes are taught in English.
What method of teaching is used at Damelin West Rand?
Our tuition is face-to-face. We believe in and uphold the principle of experiential learning. We do not believe in, or administer traditional lecture-type learning only in which the learner is a passive listener. Our programmes are engaging, interactive and experiential, creating skills and instilling knowledge that is based on real understanding rather than theory alone. Our facilitators are continuously evaluated by learners and management to ensure our standards are upheld.
What support and guidance is available to me during study?
We have dedicated programme managers who provide academic support and guidance to all learners throughout their time at Damelin West Rand. A consultant is also allocated to each programme to guide you through your studies. Our management team has an open-door policy to facilitate a smooth and customer friendly learning experience.
