Giving the Munsieville community hope

In partnership with Project HOPE UK, Damelin West Rand initiated the Thought Leadership Academy with the aim of bringing leadership skills to the people of the Munsieville community, a township in Krugersdorp.

The first programme started in January and the intention is to repeat the programme every six months to give as many Munsieville residents as possible the chance to participate and become involved in the Thoughtful Path Munsieville.

The goal of the academy is to help cultivate emerging leaders of Munsieville and impart valuable skills from computer literacy, to communication and project management skills. The programme helps members of the community boost their employability, while building positive role models for the vulnerable youth of Munsieville.

It is expected that participants of the Leadership Academy remain involved with Project Hope UK by partnering with community initiatives that aim to keep the children of Munsieville safe, healthy and happy.
