This 1 year or 18-month programme is designed to equip learners who have the interest and technical aptitude with the skills and knowledge to be employed in the IT field.  By combining the most sought-after and industry-recognised qualifications, learners have the opportunity to gain a thorough grounding before entering the workplace.
It is the aim of the programme to prepare the learner for the CompTIA and Microsoft external examinations through tuition, practice and assessments.
This international curriculum gives the learner the skills to deploy, build, design and optimise operating, network and server technologies for a particular job role.  Learners will gain understanding of the design and technology decisions that are necessary to ensure successful technology implementation projects.

Media design & technology

Start date: February 2013

This one-year programme is designed to introduce learners to the multimedia industry. Successful learners are able to demonstrate specialised skills and techniques such as developing a design concept from conceptual stage through to a final product, and generating images using different software applications.
Learners gain practical skills and experience on the latest software versions of: Adobe Creative Suite (including Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Autodesk 3ds Max and CorelDRAW.
Learners build a comprehensive Portfolio of Achievement during their studies. This is a vital tool when job searching as companies typically base their hiring decisions on applicants being able to demonstrate their skills and provide evidence of their work.
